Daily meals from the cereal box.
Daily jobs like moving rocks…
She’s making burgers, he’s folding socks;
No time for meetings, unions or parental talks.
People are living and thinking inside the box.
There’s no autonomy when turned to an ox.
Those “outside” tune to FOX:
War started in our uniforms by Hawks
Foreign streets outlined in ghastly chalks.
Then, a soldier’s spent or in “underwear”walks.
As citizens flee from a man who
stalks
Folks outside grin while playing stocks.
But an eagle-like group can prevent this pox
On a society geared on phones and clocks:
Grab men and women, ogled as celebrities & jocks.
To score a win? Save Hansel, Gretel and Goldilocks
Who must hide from stares and shocks
Because of their skin, many live far from our blocks.
It’s past time to remove those locks
By opening the door when someone knocks.
Sounds reminiscent of Bob Dylan
